Administrator guide
Deploy sharing controls safely, from the first monitor-only scan to precise, evidenced remediation.
1. Install and open
Install the app from Atlassian Marketplace for a Jira Service Management Cloud site. A Jira administrator opens Claervo from Apps and confirms field readiness.
2. Configure thresholds
Review risk thresholds, scan limits, retention and daily monitoring. Start with conservative defaults and keep automatic remediation disabled during validation.
3. Create scoped policies
Choose projects and request types, define allowed participant domains and audience limits, and save new policies in monitor-only mode.
4. Run an exposure scan
Scan the selected service projects. Findings explain the sharing path, affected request, audience signal, policy match and available action without exposing request bodies.
5. Review and remediate
Confirm that the policy reflects the intended support model. Approved actions re-fetch current Jira state before clearing a prohibited organization or removing only violating participants.
6. Export evidence
Use the audit trail and sanitized CSV or JSON exports to document scans, decisions and remediations. Export required evidence before uninstalling.
Known limits
The app supports Jira Service Management Cloud only. Detection follows asynchronous Jira changes and is not a pre-save blocker. Domain classification depends on email visibility provided by Jira.
